2014 PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The Paseo Aquatics Swim Team PRACTICE SCHEDULE moving forward will be as follows:
BEGINNERS:
Monday-Thursday; 4:00PM-4:30PM (The Paseo Club)
INTERMEDIATE:
Monday-Friday; 4:30PM-5:30PM (The Paseo Club)
ADVANCED / ELITE BRONZE:
Monday-Friday; 5:30PM-7:00PM (The Paseo Club)
Saturday 10:00AM-11:30AM (The Paseo Club)
ELITE SILVER/GOLD:
Monday-Friday; 5:30PM-7:30PM (Castaic Aquatics Complex)
Saturday 8:30AM-10:00AM (The Paseo Club).
RIO MESA LAST CHANCE JO QUALIFIER
The RIO MESA swim meet is this weekend, JANUARY 11-12 at RIO MESA HIGH SCHOOL in OXNARD, CA.
Jodi Carter has arranged-- through SignUp Genius-- for parents to volunteer food, drinks and their services for this meet. Please see below link to register:

Coaches will notify swimmers when they need to arrive at the meet for warm-up. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask me or the Coaches on deck (only speak to Coaches outside of practice hours).
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS
The SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS will be held JANUARY 17-20, 2014 right here at the SANTA CLARITA AQUATICS COMPLEX.
This meet is only open to swimmers 14-UNDER.
For those swimmers who have qualified, Coach Chris and Coach Mikaela will officially submit entries today.
If you have not yet spoken with your coaches to finalize your entries, you MUST do so TODAY!
PASEO AQUATICS SWIM TEAM - Please make an effort to come watch the PRELIMS and/or CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS, as Paseo Aquatics will have swimmers with a legitimate shot at bringing home a Medal!
CENTRAL CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS
The CENTRAL CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS will be held FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14 - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2014 at BAKERSFIELD COMMUNITY COLLEGE in BAKERSFIELD, CA.
This meet is open to all swimmers 18-UNDER and will represent the primary Short Course Season-Ending event that both swimmers and coaches will target.
Due to Southern California Swimming's elimination of the 15-18 year old Age Division, Central Cal Swim is anticipating over 1000 Entries with teams ranging from Southern, Central, Northern California and Nevada.
Central California Swimming will open the meet to CCS Swimmers FIRST, meaning those athletes coming from other regions must wait until the Central submission process is complete. In other words-- CCS Swimmers will get first crack. Any available spots will then be opened to outside LSCs.
CCS will begin accepting meet entries from other regions beginning January 30th, 2014. Once the entry limit hits 1000 swimmers, they will close the meet.
The Coaches and I will be working closely with our swim families over the next 3 weeks to ensure that every Paseo swimmer is confirmed and registered, so at the stroke of midnight on January 30th, we can submit our team via the online entry system.

MEET: Central California Junior Olympics.
DATE: February 14 (Friday) - February 17th (Monday), 2014.
SITE: William A. Wheeler Aquatics Complex; 1801 Panorama Drive, Bakersfield, CA (Bakersfield Community College).
HOTEL: Springhill Suites; 3801 Marriott Drive, Bakersfield, CA. 661-377-4000 or Courtyard Marriott, 3601 Marriott Drive, Bakersfield, CA. 661-324-6660.
Both of these hotels are directly next to one another, which will allow the team to stay in close proximity to one another. The Springhill Suites currently has double bed rooms available. Most of the other rooms are King rooms with pull our sofas.
The hotels are across the street from a Costco, several restaurants, and situated 12 minutes from the pool site.
We anticipate bringing over 40 SWIMMERS to this JO Meet, many of whom should place in the Championship or Consolation Rounds, so be prepared for a lot of back and forth driving from the hotel to the pool. This is a good thing :)
