MASTERS SWIM
Reminder that the M-W-F 8:30AM MASTERS CLASS will be cancelled effective May 1st, 2014.
The TUESDAY/THURSDAY MASTERS CLASS will remain-- and any swimmers currently participating in the M-W-F sessions are more than welcome to join the early bird group.
Should interest continue to build for the 5AM session, we will entertain adding a 3rd day to the schedule.
PVST SWIM MEET
A hearty shout-out to our younger age group swimmers that competed in the PVST SWIM MEET this last weekend in Camarillo, CA.
The team performed above and beyond expectations, with highlights including:
SAMANTHA ORLOFF, ALYSSA ORLOFF, ELIZABETH SCHAEFER and KEITH KARUNARANTE competing in their first ever meet-- representing Paseo Aquatics like champions!
HANNAH SIEGEL tearing it up in the 100 BACK; 200IM and 100 BUTTERFLY, where she received a June Invite (JAG) time.
STEFFEN LAND shattering his previous 50 FREE and 100 FLY times.
PRESTON and ZACH SCHULTZ proudly representing the younger Boys age group.
CAMRYN CARTER dropping an impossible 20 seconds in her 50 BUTTERFLY!
COLE CARTER, not to be outdone by his sister, dropping time in just about everything he swam!
MICHAEL ANDRIZZI out-racing everyone in his heat of the 100 BUTTERFLY.
TEIA and HELENA SALVINO closing in on several Blue times.
A fantastic turnout thanks to the hard work and dedication of every swimmer, as well as COACH MIKAELA, who single-handedly oversaw the team from start to finish.

BUENAVENTURA LONG COURSE MEET
Paseo's first official Long Course swim meet will be held this weekend, APRIL 26, 27 at the BUENAVENTURA POOL in VENTURA, CA.
This is a VERY large swim meet!
In fact, due to the enormous size of this event, they have already determined there will be NO RELAYS. Paseo Aquatics will look to put their first Relay Teams together at the Canyons Memorial Day Weekend Meet next month.
Swimmers 12-Under will be competing in the MORNING session (Warm-Up 7:30am; Meet begins at 9:00am).
Swimmers 13-Up will be competing in the AFTERNOON session (Warm-Up approx. 12 Noon; Aftn begins approx. 1:30pm)
PARENTS: We are now a Sanctioned Team and TIMING will be required.
Coach Mikaela will provide Paseo's timing assignments as determined by the Meet and will hand-out a sign-up form at this Wednesday's Team Meeting.
TEAM MEETING - THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23rd - 4:30PM
The next team meeting will be held this WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23rd, 4:30PM at The Paseo Club Pool (shallow end).
Topics will include this weekend's BUENA MEET; the MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND MEET at Santa Clarita Aquatics Center; the SUMMER SCHEDULE and news about the future of the team moving forward.
Please make every effort to attend.
HART vs VALENCIA SWIM MEET
In the much anticipated Hart vs Valencia swim meet last week, fans got their money's worth as the meet came down to the wire and final Relay.
In the end, the Boys Varsity Teams TIED while the Valencia Girls team edged out their Hart rivals in a tight contest.
Several Paseo Aquatics swimmers competed, among them KEVIN MOORE, JOHNNY GRAGAS, TREVOR THOMPSON, JOHN WAGNER, BRYANA WAAGE and ERIN NIEME for Hart while SHAYNE HANPANIT, MADISON McCABE, BROOKE COFFEE, EMMA McDONALD and CHRISTINA TAYLOR were some of those carrying the torch for Valencia.
And Hart vs Valencia wasn't the only game in town, as directly across the pool was a showdown between West Ranch took on Saugus in another cross-town rivalry.
That meet saw Saugus taking down West Ranch in a meet that featured several Paseo Aquatics swimmers as well.
Congratulations to all who proudly represented their schools-- and Paseo Aquatics at the same time.
SWIM CAPS
Both the PERSONALIZED and STANDARD PASEO CAPS should be in this week and available for the meet this coming weekend. We will keep you posted on the day they are available for pickup.
