MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SWIM MEET - THOUSAND OAKS!
Paseo Aquatics will be competing this weekend in the CSSC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND LONG COURSE MEET (Fri, Sat & Sun-- No Events
on Mon, Memorial Day).
Meet Info as follows:
SITE: Samuelson Aquatics Center; Cal Lutheran University; 60 W. Olsen Road; Thousand Oaks, CA.
AM SESSION:
7:30AM Warm-Up.
9:00AM Start. 12-UNDER swimmers.
PM SESSION: Will begin no earlier than
12 NOON (likely later). Warm-Up time TBD. 13-OVER swimmers.
RELAYS: Relay Races are "Deck Entered," which means the teams will be selected and entered at the meet.
CIF CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Huge congratulations to all of our Paseo swimmers who competed in the CIF Championships last week. Among the many highlights:
KEVIN MOORE - registered his first-ever 20 second 50 YD FREESTYLE in a swim-off, earning a coveted spot in the Championship Final.
BRYANA WAAGE - swam a Personal Best 54.10 in the 100 YD FREESTYLE.
ERIN NIEMI - ripped a Personal Best in the 100 YD BUTTERFLY.
LIZZIE LEATHERS - swam Personal Bests in both the 200 IM and 100 YD BUTTERFLY.
There just aren't enough accolades to award all of those who capped off a fantastic HS season. We honor every Paseo swimmer and the effort they gave for their respective schools.

TEAM MEETING - WEDNESDAY - MAY 21st - 4:30PM
The next Team Meeting will be held this
WEDNESDAY, MAY 21st, 4:30PM at the PASEO CLUB POOL (shallow end).
We will be discussing this weekend's MEMORIAL MEET-- specifically RELAYS; the upcoming Swim Meet vs the WAVES; the End-of-2013/14 Season TEAM BANQUET; the final SUMMER SCHEDULE and much more.
Please make every effort to attend.
ELITE GOLD/SILVER PRACTICE - NEW TIME - STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 2nd - 6:00AM
REMINDER:
The new SUMMER PRACTICE SCHEDULE for all Elite Gold & Silver swimmers goes into effect
MONDAY, JUNE 2nd.
Practice will be held from
6:00 - 8:00AM at the Castaic Aquatics Complex.
We realize for many swimmers this practice session will coincide with the last week or two of school. If you need to leave practice early to make it to class, please do so.
PASEO AQUATICS vs WAVES HOA - JUNE 8th, 2014
Paseo Aquatics will be hosting a swim meet vs the WAVES HOA swim club on
SUNDAY, JUNE 8th at THE PASEO CLUB.
An ONLINE registration will be available this week for all Paseo Aquatics swimmers.
We will advise-- before the Registration goes live-- exactly which Group Levels will be competing in this meet. Paseo Aquatics will enter those swimmers whose competition level corresponds to that of the Waves entrants.
This will be a huge event for our team, as we anticipate a meet with over 100 swimmers and 300+ family members from both clubs in attendance.
We will need all volunteer hands on deck-- literally-- to pull this off.
A Volunteer ONLINE SIGN-UP page will be available this week. The meet will require volunteers for timing, registration, snack table, meet set-up and break down.
We are encouraging all Group Levels that do not compete to volunteer at the meet and be there to cheer their younger teammates to victory.
BILL KRUMM - USA-SWIMMING WESTERN ZONE DIRECTOR - TEAM VISIT
BILL KRUMM, USA-Swimming's Western Zone Director, will be paying a formal visit to Paseo Aquatics on
MONDAY, JUNE 16th.
As a newly Sanctioned club, USA-Swimming is extending this visit for Coaches, Staff and Parents to learn more about USA-Swimming and its benefits, as well as providing their representative an opportunity to see our team and facilities first-hand.
Mr. Krumm has indicated he has a 60 minute presentation for PARENTS that is extremely informative and helpful. A formal SIGN-UP sheet will be forthcoming for all families interested in attending this session. The time is yet to be determined, but will likely fall around the lunch hour.
SAVE THE DATE - PASEO AQUATICS TEAM BANQUET - AUGUST 11th!
The 2013/14 Season End TEAM BANQUET will be held on
MONDAY, AUGUST 11th, 6:00PM - 9:00PM at the KNOLLWOOD COUNTRY CLUB.
A formal Invitation will follow, but we are encouraging all swim families to circle the date well in advance. We anticipate over 300 Paseo Aquatics swimmers and family members in attendance, as well as numerous special Guests.
The evening will include a full course dinner, Award hand-outs, our traditional "Gag" gifts and of course the year-end DVD.
