JAG's
The stars seemed to have aligned again for many of our athletes. I cannot express enough how proud I am of theses swimmers for enduring the 4 day challenge, how blessed I am to be working with these athletes directly and indirectly and how thankful I am for the parents getting their athletes to the meet and filling our timing chairs. A huge thanks for continually showing your support for Paseo Aquatics. ))
The highlights:
Taylor Toledo- earned a SoCal spot in 100 free by dropping 3 seconds.
Joseph Parks- had a fantastic showing in 100 back, 100 breast, 200 IM, 100 free and 50 free. All of which turned in personal best times by seconds!!!
Hannah Seigel- 3 second drop in 100 back with a nice swim in the fly as well.
Amanda karnuaratne-welcome dear!! She enjoyed her first LC meet and did outstanding. Way to go!!
William Chung- will-I-am legend glad to have you back competing. After several month leave studying a heart condition William has shown his bravery to be competing again. Much love to you.
Ryan Davis-had a stellar meet on several relays in key positions!! Way to work it Ryan. Individually Ryan had drops in all his swims and posted a 28.39 50M free. Keep it up.
Darrin Chang- competing with a sore knee still was able to post fast time in 50 and 100 free 27.33 and 1:01.3!! Nice. Darrin also played pivotal on all relays.
Walker Bowen-(if he was a race horse I'd nick name him "the Galloper". With that my friend and partner posted a fast time in the 50 and had respectable swims in the 400 and 800. But my favorite of all was his 100M fly in the relay! Love ya Walker but that second lap can get tough just ask Sonaly or Steffens Land for advice next time on pacing. ))))
Cade- aka Our-Cade - way to go young man with an over the top swim in the 800M free. Dropping 15 seconds earning yet another SoCal JO time. We are proud partner.
Steffen- hey, Stevie it is ok. Please grow 5 more inches trust me I am very fine with this!! Really I am. Going out and dropping 5 seconds in 100 fly and
Inching closer to that SoCal time. I believe we are just 1 second short! Let's shave his head.... Hmmmmm
The Big Girls
Brooke Coffey- did you really have to swim a 30.03 in your 50m!! I know I know Air is important but
Just breath less and we are 29.- but hey at least we got something to look forward to partner!! Keep it up Brooke.
100 back dropping a full second was nice see. Oh. Also excellent work on Ryan Davis' tattoos!!!
Liza- we'll lets see. Academics, whooping cough, Alaska, and we can pretty much see where this talented swimmer has spent the last few months. But with college decided, academics reduced and with the new rule that no swimmer is allowed to get sick we are going to get back to business. Very proud of your swims and most important the
Inner light of spirit and caring you bring to the team. Congrats on many levels. Oh and the fact that you made
It back in finals in 3 events not to shabby. )))))
Christina - great swim dropping in your 100m fly and playing a major role on the relays. Very proud of you dear. We have come a long way in under
Two years!!!
Julia- had a tough start to the meet but pushed through and Had a Solid swim in the 100 M earning a spot in Consolations posting a 1:01.93. Julia's 50 free posted a 27.62 personal best and earned second seed at finals, where she won overall posting a 27.50!!! Fast swim proud of you. Inching closer to that Junior National
cut!!
Sonaly - the workhorse! What can I say hard to call you smally anymore when you stand so tall and strong amongst others. Sonaly earned finals in every event she Swam; 200IM, 200 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, 50 free, 100 Free. Winning gold in the 200M fly swimming away from the field by over 2 seconds. Posting a 2:20.94 as a 13 year old. Slowly we are creeping towards the Junior National Time. Coming back every night to swim 2 events and
Relays she was the workhorse!! By the way "sony" I think the Crazy chicken should be a part of all pre race rituals. Kinda cut the Edge a bit. So proud of you!!
Now, stepping on the big stage and
Showing the true spirit of team I want to thank the following Swimmers for their love of the sport and their commitment to race. These swimmers rounded off our relay teams in a pinch and came ready to race; Michael Andrizzi, Keith Karunaratne, Maddie Wolpert, Taryn Toledo, Kaitlin Pack, Alex Durand, Peyton Bowen, & Maddie Broz!
I hope I have not missed any athlete and if I did I sincerely apologize. Parents thank you so much, I cannot ever think of a way to repay you other then continually showing my commitment to making Paseo Aquatics
A top USA Southern California Swim Club and I plan to do that thru love, passion and drive. With out all of you I am just Chris. But so proud to close in this manner-
