CENTRAL CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS - ENTRY DEADLINE TONIGHT
Due to strict timelines and meet capacity for out-of-area swimmers, we are enforcing a deadline of TONIGHT, MONDAY, JUNE 30th to commit to the CENTRAL CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS.
This meet will be held in FRESNO, CA from
JULY17-20, 2014.
A unique rule put in place this year does not permit any swimmer age 15-18 to compete in an event in which they have achieved a Western Zone time standard. These standards are already identified in the Team Unify system and are highlighted in RED on the Commitment page.
This rule does not apply to any swimmers 14-UNDER.
CENTRAL CAL JOs - HOTEL INFO
We have selected the
HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS on N. HOWARD STREET as the site for
the Swim Team's HOME BASE.
For those new to the team, we like to select a primary hotel as a "camp" for the purposes of conducting meetings, team meals and parent get-togethers.
This region of Fresno-- though 12-15 minutes from the Pool Site-- offers many more options for restaurants, shopping, etc than the area at which the meet will be held.
The
Holiday
Inn Express has several 2- Queen Bedrooms available, but space is limited and the rooms will go quickly.
Make your Reservations ASAP!
Due to the overwhelming need for Double-Bedded rooms, we have also selected 3 additional hotels at which to secure lodging-- all within WALKING distance of the Team Hotel.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JUNIOR OLYMPICS - JULY 23-27, 2014
The Southern California Junior Olympics will be held one week after the Central JOs,
JULY 23-27, 2014 at the CAL LUTHERAN POOL in THOUSAND OAKS, CA.
This meet is an option for 15-18 swimmers who have achieved Western Zone time standards and are unable to compete in their primary events at Central JOs; for swimmers who have achieved SoCal qualifying times but cannot travel to Central JOs; or for those swimmers who would like to compete in BOTH Junior Olympic meets.
The deadline for committing to the SoCal JOs is MONDAY, JULY 7th, 2014.
CA-NV SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - JULY 23-27, 2014
The 2014 CA-NV SECTIONALS will be held JULY 23-27, 2014 at the CLOVIS NORTH SWIM FACILITY in Clovis, CA (Fresno).
This meet is open only to those who have achieved the 2014 SECTIONAL TIME STANDARDS.
Sectionals will be held the same weekend as SoCal JOs, so for those who qualify, please advise your Coach if you intend to Commit.
Paseo Aquatics will have a USA-Swimming Coach dispatched to both the SOCAL and SECTIONAL meets.
The deadline for committing to Sectionals is MONDAY, JULY 7th, 2014.
NORTH AMERICAN CHALLENGE CUP
The NORTH AMERICAN CHALLENGE CUP team was selected following the June Age Group Championships last week-- and Paseo Aquatics' SONALY WINTERMUTE has been chosen as a member of the team that will travel to Veracruz, Mexico
August 5-
10th.
This is a great honor for the team, the Coaches and most importantly Sonaly, who has capped off an amazing year with this invitation.
The NACC is an annual event comprised of teams representing the U.S., Canada and Mexico, who compete against one another each summer. The site is determined on a rotating basis, with Mexico serving as host in 2014.
Please congratulate Sonaly on this incredible achievement!
