What is CAAP? CAAP is a swim team located in central Illinois priding itself with teaching swimers of all ages and abilities correct stroke technique. CAAP trains swimmers to be elite, but also meets swimmers where they are and allows recreational swimmers to participate on the team. Elite swimmers are allowed to attend as many practices their group offers as they would like throughout the week. Recreational swimmers are allowed to attend ___ practices a week. Elite swimmers can attend any meets that are offered. Recreational swimmers are allowed to swim in ___ meets throughout the year. 

 

What are practices like? How are swimmers divided? Practice groups are as follows bronze, silver, gold, & diamond. Recreational and elite swimmers will practice together in groups, the only difference will be how many practices the swimmers can attend, and the price of each membership. 

 

What group will my swimmer belong too?

Bronze group - The Bronze group is CAAPs pre-competitive program. This program teaches young and new swimmers all four competitive strokes. This is not only a great introduction to competitive swimming, but also a great way to keep kids safe in the water! Many kids who have participated in swim lessons and are ready for something more do well in this group. Bronze level swimmers are offered four practices a week at our Springfield location. Bronze level swimmers will pay ___ a month at the Springfield location to participate. Silver group - The Silver group continues to advance swimmers in all four strokes and teaches them other competitive swimming skills such as flip turns, pullots, breakouts and more. Silver level swimmers are still given a lot of emphasis on stroke technique, but also a little bit on intensity. Silver level swimmers are offered six practices a week at our Springfield location. Silver level swimmers will pay ___ a month at the Springfield location to participate. Gold group - The Gold group is for age group and senior swimmers who are ready to participate at an elite level. Gold group swimmers have practices designed to enhance stroke technique as well as prepare them for meets. Silver group provides an even keel of technique and intensity to age group and senior level swimmers. Gold level swimmers are offered seven practices a week at our Springfield location. Gold level swimmers will pay ___ a month at the Springfield location to participate. Diamond group - The Diamond group is for senior swimmers who participate at an elite level. Diamond group swimmers have practices designed to improve stroke technique and prepare them for their elite competition seasons. Diamond level swimmers are held to a higher standard then the rest of the team, as these swimmers are competeing at a top tier level. Diamond level swimmers are offered seven practices a week at our Springfield location. Diamond level swimmers will pay ___ a month at the Springfield location to participate.
