Our Mission is to provide each swimmer with the highest quality education and training in a safe, non-stressful environment, while building confidence, respect, responsibility, integrity, and teamwork.

About Us

The Capital Area Aqua Phoenix (CAAP) is a swim team located in central Illinois. The team is home to swimmers in over a dozen cities and practices at locations in Springfield, Hillsboro and Taylorville. CAAP is dedicated to improving stroke technique as well as providing quality practices and coaching to swimmers of all ages. CAAP supports and fosters a love of swimming in those competeing at the rec level, all the way up to the national level. The team takes pride in its ability to follow and grow swimmers from the novice level all the way to the elite. 

CAAP was established in 2023 with a goal to keep a team a family. We aim to not only help our swimmers grow in the pool, but also as people. CAAP wants every swimmer to walk away from the team with life skills such as self-motivation, discipline, work ethic and self esteem.
