Water Aerobics: 1 Credit
Aquatic exercise is more fun, more comfortable, and more effective than any fitness activity you can do on land. Why exercise in water? Since water offers much more resistance than air, swimming and other forms of aquatic exercise are great for all three major fitness areas: Cardiovascular, Flexibility, & Strength.
Swimming for Fitness: 1 Credit
Swimming can offer anyone of any age a huge range of health benefits. You might just feel and look younger, have stronger muscles, and (according to a long time swimmer) better hair. Although you might not have awesome, shiny and chlorine enriched hair, you can find at least 10 other reasons to swim.
Swimming gives your body the workout minus the harsh impacts. Another awesome benefit is the living longer factor. You prolong your life and have higher brain activity with a regular swimming program. Control your weight and have a healthier heart plus lower your risk of diabetes, stop asthma symptoms and have a higher quality of life.
Aquatic Training for Sport: 1 Credit
Designed for pre-season or in-season training for both collegiate and amateur athletes. Workouts are sport specific and be will be designed as a way to cross train for a wide range of sports in an aquatic environment.
Aquatics Paddleboarding 1 Credit
Students will learn the basics of paddleboarding, and paddleboard as a form of exercise.
