Collin Cagle Head Coach, Flat Irons
I grew up playing all sports. Besides swimming, some of my favorite sports that I've competed in is: basketball, trail running, rock climbing, baseball, triathlons, and football.
Some of my accomplishments are:
  • In my 4 years of high school swim, I received 3 awards.
  • My favorite swim was the 50 freestyle where my fastest time was 21.43.
  • I've placed top 3 in my age group in 2/3 of the triathlons that I've competed in.

My coaching philosophy emphasizes the equal importance of mental and physical performance. I integrate mental training techniques to help swimmers overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential. I believe the best environment for this, is a fun and silly one!
I love coaching for many reasons but one reason is because it is an opportunity to inspire and create strong habits in the next generation(s) of athletes and people.
Ally Green Head Coach, Boulder
Gail Laurence Head Coach Denver West
Coach Gail Laurence was brought onto the Life Time Denver West Swim Team as Head Coach this fall to head up the USA Swimming team and build the program into a well-rounded competitive force.
Coach Gail spent the early part of her life in Montreal, Canada, and watched the inspiring gymnast, Nadia Comãneci at the 1976 Olympics achieve her perfect 10 in the bars competition. This was her inspiration to compete in the Olympics. She believed she would be a gymnast and found her early athletic career competing in a variety of sports including gymnastics, swimming, running, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more!
After moving to Colorado at the age of 13, she swam on the very competitive Cherry Creek High School swim team and continued to swim for the University of Colorado's club swim team. Her lifelong dream of competing in the Olympics was a driving force after college, so she put her career on hold and took up the new sport of triathlon. Gail raced in the pro ranks of triathlon for 15 years and was on the US National Elite Triathlon Team for 9 of those years. Some of her racing career achievements include: US National Team Member; 1995 Pan American Games, Silver Medalist Team USA; 1996 Female Overall 2nd place ITU World Cup Triathlon Series; 1998 Goodwill Games, Team USA Member; 1999 US Olympic Trials, Triathlon, Dallas, Texas; 2000 US Olympic Trials, Sydney, Australia.
After the Olympic trials in 2000, Coach Gail studied the human body and how to help support athletes to excel in their sport of choice. She eventually settled on bodywork and supporting athletes and people in their healing journey. And because she felt she had a tremendous knowledge basis to bring athletes of all ages to their highest potential, she came back to coaching in 2018 as the Head Swim Coach for the Golden High School girls swim team. And in 2019, she took on the Head Coaching position of the Golden High School boys swim team. Both girls and boys swim teams have risen in the Colorado State rankings since Coach Gail began coaching and both her girls and boys relays broke onto the podium for the first time at the 2024 CHSAA State Meet, placing 2nd in their respective 200 freestyle relays.
Gail loves teaching and coaching our up-and-coming inspired athletes and she was asked to be the assistant coach of the Golden Marlins Summer Club Swim Team in 2020 and she has been coaching ages 4 to 18 ever since. Gail has been inspiring all ages in swimming for many years and is excited and motivated to continue her passion with the Life Time Swim Team!
