Championship Meet Service Hour Obligation:  Families that have a swimmer(s) attending any championship meet will be required to time, regardless of whether or not their service hour obligation for the season has been met.  Any hours served at these meets will count toward the service hour obligation for that season.  Championship meets include but are not limited to:  Districts, Silver State, State, Far Westerns, Zones and All-Stars.

In the event that families are unable to fulfill the service hours they will be charged $50 per hour for any service hour balance.

* Families may choose to pre-pay out of the service obligation for a season.

- For the Short Course season the fees are as follows:  $300 for Developmental, $550 for Advanced Developmental, Red and Silver, $800 for White, Gray, Senior, Black , Gold, Elite Prep and Elite.

- For the Long Course season the fees are as follows:  $200 for Developmental, $400 for Advanced Developmental, $500 for Red and Silver, and $700 for White, Gray, Senior, Black, Gold, Elite Prep and Elite.

If a family opts to pay out rather than serve, the amount must be paid, in full, at the beginning of the season with other registration fees.  This amount is non-refundable with the exception of a doctor’s note explaining the inability of the swimmer to take part in the sport of swimming.  Families are strongly encouraged to complete all service hours rather than pay out service hours. ALL families with a swimmer(s) attending Championship meets will be required to time, regardless if service hour obligation has been met or if service hour pay-out occurred at the beginning of the season.  Our organization is required to supply timers at these meets.  Colorado Swimming is the organization that assigns each team their timer assignments.  We will be assigning timers for these meets from the families with swimmers attending the meet

** Service Hours will not be prorated for families who choose to leave the swim team prior to the end of a season.  Families who leave before the end of a season will have the option of paying out the remaining balance of service hours based on the pay structure previously stated or they may continue to serve at meets until the end of the season.  Exception to rule:  If a swimmer leaves the team before the end of the current season, their service hours will be prorated only in the event of an athlete injury accompanied with a doctor's note, death in the immediate family, or relocation of family outside of a 30 mile radius from home pool.

Service hour opportunities (for meets, fundraising, team activities/parties, etc.) will be posted on the team website in advance of each activity date. In addition, service hour opportunities will be posted in the team email newsletters and blasts.

We have online sign-up opportunities. Each member can sign in to their team accounts, view the opportunities, and sign up directly through the website.

How To Sign Up for Posted Event Jobs:

Step 2: Click on the checkbox in front of the empty slot that you want to sign up for.
Step 3: Select [Signup] button to signup for the slots that you selected.

If someone else's name is printed, that job slot is not available for you to sign up (this is a first-come-first-serve system). You can only sign up for the empty slots shown as "---------".

The Day of Your Event:

If you signed up for an event at VMAC, please show up on the pool deck a few minutes early and check in with the service hour coordinator.  You can typically find the person checking in volunteers in or around the hospitality room (next to the lifeguard office).  Make sure you check in so we can credit you your hours worked!
