Fundraisers
The Foothills Area YMCA Swim Team does not require families to participate in fundraising activities and generally does not organize such activities. There may, however, be times in which fundraising is necessary for the program for a specific purpose (travel, equipment, etc.).
Sponsorship
In the program’s first year in existence, the team grew to over 60 members on the way to capturing a CYSL Winter and Summer State Championship. Now approaching 100 members, there are seven swimmers currently qualified for the YMCA National Championship Meet held in March/July. The Bluefins are also represented in USA Swimming, with several swimmers qualifying for state, sectional, and futures championship meets. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Bluefin Family!
This summer, the Foothills Area YMCA will be hosting the CYSL State Championship meet. The meet will be held July 22-23. This spectacular event will bring between 200-300 swimmers and their families from across the state to the Oconee County. Many families will be staying the night (approximately 100), while all families will be in the area through breakfast and lunch. We send promotional materials out to all families, so this will be a wonderful event for your business to advertise to a large group of swimmers and their families.
