Pine Crest vs. St. Andrews

Pine Crest ended the dual meet season with victories by both the girls and boys teams over St. Andrews.  The final score PC 106- St. Andrews 80 in the girls; PC 112-St. Andrews 74 for the boys.  This puts the dual meet record at 11-1 and for the boys and 10-1 for the girls. The State Playoffs series starts next week with the District Championship meet on Saturday, October 31 at St. Andrews School.

For the girls meet St. Andrews opened up with a win the 200 Medley Relay, but Pine Crest came right back with a 1,2,3 sweep in the 200 free with Siena DeVenuto, Alina Schulhofer, and Brittany Hammond.  In the 200 IM Rebecca Aiello placed 2nd, with Miriam Crispo and Anastasia Hediger taking 4th and 5th. Then in the 50 free Stephanie Moeller and Megan Smith went 1-2; and Jennifer Aguirre won the diving.

Alina Schulofer won the 100 fly, and Rebecca Aiello, Miriam Crispo, Miriyam Ghali placed 3,4,5.  Siena DeVenuto won the 100 free, with Brittany Hammond, Megan Smith, Kaelah Chaney taking 3,4,5.  In the 500 free, Hannah Veale was 3rd with Anastasia Hediger, Savanna Gornisiewicz placing 4,5.  Pine Crest won the 200 Free Relay and Stephanie Moeller, and Miriyam Ghali were 3,4 in the 100 back.  Lindsey Swartz, Nathalie Bijlsma, and Kaelah Chaney placed 3,4,5 in the 100 breast and Pine Crest closed out the meet with a win in the 400 Free Relay.

The boys opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay then Gotti Eisenberger won the 200 free with Austin Evenson and Nate Legum placing 3,5.  Thomas Veale won the 200 IM with Michal Rokita and Julian Jimenez placing 3,4.  Marcel Betschart, Descartes Holland and Armand Aguirre teamed up to go 2,3,4 in the 50 free. Jose Arrillaga won the 100 fly with Erik Erton and Nate Legum placing 3,4.  Thomas Veale was 2nd in  the 100 free and Julian Jimenez and Armand Aguirre placed 4,5.  In the 500 free Gotti Eisenberger and John Rudnik went 1-2 with Alex Evenson placing 4th. Pine Crest won the 200 Free Relay and Delaney Brock, Marcel Betschart, Jose Arrillaga and JB Baker were, 2,3,4,5.  Michal Rokita won the 100 breast with Ryohei Takatsuchi and Edward Walker placing 3,4.  Pine Crest closed out the meet with a win in the 400 Free Relay.
