Coach Eddie Supports St. Baldrick's Foundation

In years past Coach Eddie, teachers and students have got together for an event called St. Baldrick's (www.stbaldricks.org).  The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer- driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.  Last year the St. Baldrick's Foundation funded over $14 million in new grants, in addition to ongoing projects. As the organization that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any except the U.S. government, we take this responsibility very seriously. 

Many families came last year to support us.  St. Baldrick's is being held at Slainte Irish Pub at 1500 Gateway Blvd Boynton Beach, FL 33426 this Friday March 11th (Coach Eddie will be at JO's) as well as on St. Patty's day next Thursday March 17th again at Slainte Irish Pub (when I will be shaving my head).  Some of the events this Friday include Florida Panther Shawn Matthias to shave his head, as well as kids activities such as face painting, bounce houses, and games.  

They're are many different ways to be part of St. Baldrick's.  You are always welcome to come to an event and show support, volunteer, get your head shaved, shave someone's head, or donate money to in this case our team ( www.stbaldricks.org/teams/mypage/teamid/71369) or any individual/s.  I myself am participating as a shavee.  If anyone is interested feel free to email Eddie at [email protected] with any questions.  I would love more faculty to join as well as students.  Spread the word.
