Pine Crest Diving finishes 2nd Place at FGC Championships

Pine Crest Diving Boys and Girls combined team of 18 divers finished 2nd behind host 3D Diving of Jupiter for the Florida Gold Coast (FGC) Diving Championships Team title on March 26, 2011.

This Spring Championship event was the inaugural championships for the Synchronized 1-meter diving event. Pine Crest-Boca  twins, Austin and Hunter Fields, an identical tandem pair, won the 13&U Boys 1m synchro event. Connor Gerrits and Chris Doolittle place 3rd in the 14-18 Boys 1m synchro.  Carly Ehrlich and Juliette Pozzuoli-2nd place competed in the closely contested  13&U Girls 1m synchro event. The pair was behind by 6 points after the voluntary rounds, but finished strong winning both the last two optional rounds and were just edged out of first place by 3 points. With a strong tandem team effort  by Ishani Singh and Lily Ehrlich-3rd, and Arielle Kaplan and Sarah Schwartz -4th the 13&U Girls Synchronized 1m was the highest scoring event of the meet for Pine Crest Diving team.  

Pine Crest Diving Club individual event winners included: Lily Ehrlich, Arielle Kaplan, Hannah Maister, Grant Fields, and Sam Rosenthal.
