Pine Crest Swim Camp hosts the Brazilian Swimming Federation
This week, Pine Crest School enjoys a taste of athletic excellence from Brazil - host of the 2016 Summer Olympics!
The Brazil Swimming Federation selected Pine Crest School as the site for the Brazil Correios 2011 Swim Camp. Led by Ms. Giovana Moreira, Director of International Affairs for the Brazilian Swimming Federation, 14 swimmers were selected from a National competition in Brazil.
For most of the swimmers, their South Florida visit marks their first trip to the United States. The team attends two training sessions a day on campus, and takes part in a classroom presentation to learn how to improve their swimming skills. In addition to enjoying Pine Crest's swimming facilities, the Brazilian swimmers say they look forward to visiting local shopping malls and other points of interest during their stay. The camp dates run from June 6 to June 11.
