Open Water All Star & National (Results)

Congratulations to all our Pine Crest swimmers who participated in either or both the FGC All Star Open Water and the National Open Water events this past weekend at the Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club at Fort Myers.  Lucky the weather held out and we had many great results.

FGC All Star Open Water (Saturday, April 28)

The FGC All Star Team came very close to beating the Florida Swim Team.

Overall Team Scores - FS 112.50 to FGC 109.50

Girls Team Scores - FS 57.50 to FGC 53.50

Boys Team Scores - FGC 56 to FS 55

Congratulations to our own Casey Francis (17 yrs old) who finished 1st in the 15-18 age group for the 5K Open Water event in a time of 1:05:07.00.  Our other PC participants were Bailey Warren who finished 6th overall in the 11-12 age group for the 2.5K, Hannah Veale finished in 12th place overall in the 15-18 age group 5K, Noah Zylberberg finished 10th place overall in the 13-14 age group 5K, and Kent Haeffner finished in 6th place overall in the 15-18 age group 5K.

National Open Water (Sunday, April 29)

Congratulations to our own Casey Francis who finished in 8th place overall for the 5K Open Water event with a time of 1:04:17.14, Austin Evenson who finished in 17th place with a time of 59:15.94, and Kent Haeffner who finished in 25th place with a time of 1:02:17.85.
