We had some extremely close races for the highlighted Dual Meet of the Season but...

St. Andrews School defeated Pine Crest School tonight in both the men's and women's swimming and diving meet. The Panthers gave a strong performance but were just not as strong or deep as St. Andrews this year. The score for the women St. Andrews, 102-Pine Crest 84 and in the men it was St. Andrews 98-Pine Crest 87.

St. Andrews swept all three relays in both the mens and womens meet, Carolyn Chaney won the diving and Casey Francis won the 500 free for Pine Crest, Kent Haeffner won the 200 and 500 free, Alex Evenson won the 100 breast, and Conner Gerrits won the diving for Pine Crest.

There were several close races throughout the meet and the Panthers did a great job of keeping their focus during the competition. Pine Crest has two more home dual meets this week, as the Panthers will take on Westminster Academy on Friday night at 4pm and Cardinal Gibbons on Saturday morning at 11am. Both meets are a part of the Homecoming Weekend celebration and both meets are at the Woodson Pool. These meets will close out our regular season and next week the Panthers will move onto the State Championship playoffs, with the District Championship meet at St. Andrews School on Thursday, Oct. 25, come to finals at 5pm and cheer on the Panthers!
