International Classic (Results)

Pine Crest had over 65 swimmers (club and camp) attend this exciting "International Classic" meet held at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex on June 20-23.  This meet was at full capacity of swimmers, which attracts many teams from around the country.

Congratulations to the many swimmers that placed in the top 10 of their event(s):  Marissa Brannan, Marta Ciesla, Hank Contich, Kent Haeffner, Rak Hovart, Kyle Jones, Grigorii Kalminskii, Tyla Martin, Halie Murphy, Jessica Nava, Joao Vitor Pereira, Tiago Pereira, Matthew Petreski, Denis Pushkin, Alexa Rivera, Lindsey Swartz, Thomas Veale, Savannah Yates, and Noah Zylberberg.

Those highlighted above placed 1st overall for their age group in one or more events.

A special note for some exceptional swimming by:

Marta Ciesla who broke the FGC record for the 13-14 age group in the 50m freestyle in a time of 26.95, and also placed 1st in the 100m freestyle in a time of 59.09 which is the 8th fastest time in the country for her age group.

Matthew Petreski again broke his own Club Record in the 100m breaststroke in a time of  1:18.67 and the 200m breaststroke in a time of 2:54.85.  He also broke the Club Record in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 36.71, which has been held since 1994.
