PC Finishes Dual Meet Season, Ready for Districts!
Pine Crest closed out the dual meet season in swimming and diving against St. Andrews on Friday and while the Panthers performed very well throughout the meet both the boys and girls team came up a little short as it was St. Andrews 94-PC 91 in boys, and St. Andrews 100- PC 85 for the girls. The Lady Panthers finished with a 10-2 record and the boys finished with a 6-6 record in their dual meet season.
Now it is on to the playoffs with the District Championships coming up Friday, October 25, at the University School in Davie. The District meet will be a Time Final event this year with the meet starting at 11am, the athletes have to finish in the top 8 in their event to advance to Region Championship meet which will also be held at the University School in Davie on Saturday, November 2nd.
We would like to thank all our parents who helped throughout the season to run the meets, and all the faculty who came out to watch and support the team especially Keith Flynn, Jeff Johnson, Eileen Pliske, Jeff Foster, Glen Pierson, Karl Hop, Paul Baur, Doug Nowlin, Rashad Roberts, and all the students that supported the team.
