Pine Crest are double Regional Champions and Break two School Records

Pine Crest Swimming and Diving had an outstanding meet winning the Region Team Championship title for both the girls and boys team. Both teams opened the meet with a strong statement by winning the opening event the 200 Medley Relay. The Lady Panthers broke the School Record in the 200 Medley Relay by over 3 seconds winning in an All American time of 1:44.87, the old School Record was 1:47.33, congratulations to the team of Miriyam Ghali, Lindsey Swartz, Tyla Martin, and Marta Ciesla. The boys team also won the 200 Medley Relay with the fastest time they have done all year, with the team of Joao Pereira, Ryan Graff, Alex Evenson, and Kent Haeffner.

In the 200 Free, Julia Chui and Sabrina Gornisiewicz both swam fast enough to advance to the State Championship meet, as did Kent Haeffner for the boys. Tyla Martin and Lindsey Swartz both qualified for the 200 IM State meet, along with Alex Evenson for the boys.

Marta Ciesla and Hannah Veale will advance in the 50 free, along with Christian Soderberg for the boys. In diving Carolyn Chaney, Ishani Singh, Juliette Pozzuoli, move on for the girls, and Austin Fields, Connor Gerrits, Lyle Hayes-Macaluso, and Hunter Fields will all dive at the State meet. The Panthers will have Tyla Martin, Miriyam Ghali, and Julia Chui in the 100 fly, along with Joao Pereira for the boys. Marta Ciesla and Hannah Veale will swim the 100 free; as will Matt Kronengold. In the 500 free it will be Sabrina Gornisiewicz along with Kent Haeffner and John Graner for the boys.

Both the 200 Free Relays for the girls and boys team advance to the State meet, along with the 400 Free Relays for each team. Miriyam Ghali will swim the 100 back, as will Joao Pereira and Anton Generalov. Lindsey Swartz help to close out the girls meet with another strong statement when she broke the School Record in the 100 breast to advance to the State meet, as will Alex Evenson and Ryan Graff for the boys in the 100 breast.
