Winter Championships (Results & Photos)

Congratulations to all our swimmers that competed at the 4-day "Speedo Winter Championships" at the Plantation Aquatic Complex this past weekend. Our teams started with the Annual Spaghetti Dinner at both campuses on Wednesday night, where the new "white Pine Crest Championship Team" caps were handed to our qualifying athletes. The meet started on Thursday night with a very heavy rainstorm and ended on Sunday evening.

Special recongition to those swimmer's that earned the title "Champion" for their individual event or relay:

Matthew Petreski - 1st place (12 year olds)

200 breaststroke in a time of 2:24.00 "NEW TEAM RECORD"

Matthew also broke the TEAM RECORD in the 400IM in a time of 4:47.76

Alexandra Meszaros - 1st place (12 year olds)

100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.31

200 butterfly in a time of 2:17.21

Marissa Brannan - 1st place (13 year olds)

1000 freestyle in a time of 10:51.88

1650 freestyle in a time of 17:55.65

Patrick Groters - 1st place (14 year olds)

200 backstroke in a time of 1:56.75

200 freestyle in a time of 1:45.76

Jordy Groters - 1st place (17 & Over)

200 breaststroke in a time of 2:01.38
