Allen Levitis competed in 12-13 B1-m and B3-m and also finaled in his first Men’s 1-m event scoring 34 team points to place 10th. In the Mens 1-m finals, Allen was diving well, but in the 4th round he slipped on his 303c- reverse 11/2 takeoff and took a really hard smack on his back. He could have bailed and come out at a single somersault but instead of failing the dive for zero points, he chose to hold on and tried to rotate enough to enter the water head-first. His average score was 1.5 points. Allen finished in 7th place. On the podium, in recognition of the will-to-win the youngest diver in the finals demonstrated, the winner, a senior diver from YCF, the host team, Emanuel Vazquez (Manny), put his 1st place medal around Allen’s neck. |

Women Sophia Cavaretta ranked 26th in Individual Awards by scoring 20 team points, the most points for the Pine Crest Girls’ team members. |
Open Women’s 1-m

Nineteen year old senior, Ishani Singh placed 10th.
Open 3-m Single Elimination Tournament
The feature event of the All Star Challenge is the Women and Men’s 3-m Single Elimination Tournament. Winning this contest requires the diver to compete 4 lists of optional dives back-to-back. The top 8 from prelims advance to four Semis A,B,C,D (A-1st vs 8th, B- 4th vs 5th, C- 2nd vs 7th and D- 3rd vs 6th). The losers are out of the contest and the winners of each semis advance to Finals A and B. (Finals A is the winners of Semis A vs B and Finals B is the winners of Semis C vs D). The two winners of Finals A and B compete in the Championship event to determine the winner. Ishani Singh placed 9th in the W3m prelims, 6.9 points from advancing to the Semis. Kaylee Greenberg, Sophia Souza and Ava Andersen competed in the prelims of their first Open Women’s 3-m event.
FINA Age Group Events
The All Star Challenge Invitational uses FINA rules. FINA is the International Governing Body for Aquatic Sports. For Age Group events, that means divers perform one less optional dive than USA Diving rules.
