Terry Maul Program Director

Coach Terry Maul directs all phases of the ATAC program and currently assists on-deck with the ATAC senior program. Coach Maul has 50 years coaching experience which include the following accomplishments: American Swim coaches Association level 5 certification (the highest level) for both USS club and NCAA. Head coach of the USA National Junior Team in Montreal, Canada in 1992. Head coach of USA National team in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 1984. Served as head coach of swimming at Florida State University for 18 years (1975 - 1993). Two time Florida Swimming coach of the year. Coach Maul has developed numerous Olympic Trial qualifiers, Senior National finalists, and Junior National finalists as well as several USS age group swimmers in the national top 16. In addition to his duties with ATAC, Coach Maul has been an assistant professor of statistics and sociology at Thomas University in Thomasville, GA since 1996. Coach Maul is married to Dr. Jodiann Yambor, a Sports Psychologist and professor at Thomas Univeristy. They have two children, John who recently completed his masters degree in Sports Management at Florida State University and is currently head coach of the ATAC program, and Alyssa who is currently a full time physical theraapist at Emory hospital in Atlanta.

Eddie VonHertsenberg Head Presenior 1 coach

Edward Von Hertsenberg is a graduate of The University of the Cumberlands where he swam for the Patriot swim team for four years and served as team captain his junior and senior year. While on the Cumberlands swim team Eddie was an NAIA All-american in multiple events. Since graduating in 2009 Eddie has served as Cumberlands assistant swim coach and Interim Head Swim Coach. Along with his duties with ATAC he also is the Head Swim coach at Thomas University in Thomasville GA.

Amanda Jacques Head Novice / Developmental coach

Amanda first started coaching for ATAC in 2006 when she relocated from Hollywood, FL to attend Florida State University. At FSU Amanda earned her degree in Early Childhood Education, and she currently teaches second grade at a local public school. Amanda took a step away from the pool deck for a couple of years to focus on her teaching career and has ultimately made her way back to coaching during the fall of 2018. As a swimmer Amanda enjoyed swimming distance freestyle, 200-fly and open water events. 

Sami Andrews Head Masters Coach

Coach Sami has earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation at Thomas University. She completed her Undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Exercise Science while apart of the Varsity Swimming team (2012-2016). Coach Sami has been part of the ATAC Family for over 6 years now, working with the Masters, Senior, PreSenior, and Novice Groups. Coach Sami was our Novice Coordinator from Fall 2020 until May 2022 and enjoyed the opportunity to get to teach young swimmers new skills and the love of the sport of swimming. She was recognized as an ASCA TOP 50 Age Group Coach in 2021. Coach Sami's goal is to not only have athletes recognize their potential in sport, but to gain confidence and skills in being good people too. She recently got married in 2020 (maiden name was Pochowski).
