Senior Championships Meet Wrap Up
The 2011 Senior Champs was possibly the most exciting and successful meet that the senior group has ever swum. Our team spirit and performance in the water was better than the coaches could have possibly expected. For those of you who may have watched the live streaming video, the AmberJax were mentioned on the web for how supportive we were to our teammates.
In the past, we have not participated in the spring Junior National meet very often. At one point three years ago, we did have 3 swimmers qualify and compete. However, since then, we haven’t had enough qualified to justify going. After this meet we now have 12 swimmers going!
There are a lot of little things that have to happen for this kind of success and your AmberJax swimmers have done them all well this winter. I am honored to have been part of this group and am grateful for their hard work. Thanks also to the coaching staff and parents who constantly work in a supportive role throughout the season.
-Coach Benji
