Welcome to Fossil Park Swim Team!  This summer your team has two coaches.  Coach Kevin Mooren will coach the morning practice and Coach Marina Falcone will coach the afternoon practice.

Coach Kevin has been coaching since 2006 as an assistant coach with the St. Petersburg Aquatics Junior Team based at North Shore Pool. During the summer, he coaches at Fossil Park and teaches adult swim lessons for the City of St. Petersburg. He is a USA Swimming Level 1 Certified Coach and a USA Swimming official at the referee level.

Kevin is married and has two daughters, both of whom swam for St. Petersburg Aquatics.

Coach Marina, a Level 1 USA Swimming coach, found her niche in competitive swimming at a young age and quickly became a standout in a number of distances and events.  Here career took off in high school and today she continues to compete in open water competitions.  The water is her true passion and dedicated her efforts to swimming while on the William and Mary Swim and Dive Team (2005-2009).  Her hard work and consistent training paid off with multiple school records and top NCAA finishes.  She was the first woman in the history of William and Mary to break 5:00 in the 500 yard freestyle.  She continued to train and compete post college under the direction of Paul Yetter with T2 Aquatics in Naples, Florida at the national level from 2011 to 2012 and with Nations Capital Swimming from 2012-2014 where she swam under the direction of Coach Bruce Gemmell, who also coached Olympian Katie Ledecky.  A coach, as well as a competitive athlete, Marina has coached competitive youth programs for many years in Maryland and Florida, most recently at Berkeley Preparatory School as part of the lower division swim program, the club team and high school team staff.  She previously taught physical education for three years in Pinellas County Schools.  She has been a part of St. Pete Masters swim team for six years and is excited for her move back to the area and to coach for St. Petersburg Aquatics!

We are looking forward to working with you this summer and please reach out with any questions.
