Community & Safety Programs

We partner with schools and families to provide vital safety education, certifications, and hands-on training to keep our community confident and prepared around water.

  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Training
    Comprehensive Red Cross–certified courses that teach lifesaving response skills for cardiac emergencies, choking, and injury management. Includes hands-on practice and certification cards for successful participants.
     
  • Water Safety Clinics (School Partnerships)
    Outreach programs that bring certified instructors into schools and community centers. Kids learn the essentials of drowning prevention, safe swimming habits, and what to do in an emergency. Tailored by age group to maximize retention.
     
  • Junior Lifeguard Programs (Kids & Teens)
    Designed to introduce youth to the world of aquatics safety. Participants learn basic rescue techniques, CPR skills, first aid, and leadership development, while building teamwork and confidence in the water. Often serves as a stepping stone into formal lifeguard training.

PIPELINE Peak performance ONE-ON-ONE coaching & training for current or aspiring elite athletes to achieve their goals. Training is focused on Maximized efficiency for Balance, Breathing & kicking patterns, practice, and competition mental preparation, and overall effectiveness.

Learn-to-Swim Program

Our beginner-level swim programs help children and adults build water confidence, safety awareness, and fundamental skills to create a strong foundation for lifelong swimming.

Water Toddlers
Level: Beginner
Ages: 1–3
Focus: Water safety, acclimation, building comfort in the water, and practicing age-appropriate emergency drills.

Youth Swim Lessons
Level: Beginner
Ages: 3+
Focus: Water safety, foundational skills, kicking and paddling, stroke introduction (freestyle & backstroke).

Adult Swim Lessons
Level: Beginner
Ages: Adults (all ages)
Focus: Learn the fundamentals, develop basic swimming skills, overcome fear of water, and build confidence.

Adaptive Swim Lessons
Level: Beginner–Intermediate

Focus: Tailored swim instruction for individuals with disabilities or special needs.

Focus: Low-impact water fitness, mobility, strength, and conditioning.

Competitive & Advanced Aquatics

For athletes and aquatic leaders ready to expand their expertise, our advanced programs focus on professional certifications, elite training, and technical skill development.

  • Lifeguard Training & Certification
     American Red Cross–aligned courses that prepare participants to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Includes water rescues, spinal injury management, first aid, CPR/AED, and practical scenarios to ensure readiness for real-world lifeguarding.
     
  • Swim Official & Referee Certification
     Courses for parents, volunteers, and aspiring officials who want to support competitive swimming events. Covers rules, timing, judging, and meet operations, ensuring high-quality, fair competitions. Certifications are recognized at local, regional, and national levels.
     
  • Stroke Clinics with Collegiate & Professional Swimmers
     Specialty workshops featuring elite athletes and coaches who provide in-depth technical analysis and drills for each of the four competitive strokes. Clinics also highlight race strategy, mental preparation, and advanced skills like underwater dolphin kicking and fast turns.

 

 

 

Stroke School

Pre-Team - this is our entry-level yet part of the TEAM.  This is where we introduce the young athletes to the world of light competitive swimming! This is done through the application of drills/skills and repetition starting with all the basic swimming fundamentals while having fun!  Practices last 30 minutes twice a week. Mini meets i.e. beginner meets are offered approximately every 4 weeks. Three of the four competitive strokes will be taught in this group and 2 must be performed legally for 25 yards along with a proper understanding of the use of the kickboard and beginner swim lingo such as ready position to advance to the next group. All ages are welcome but swimmers will be evaluated first.  If a swimmer cannot yet demonstrate freestyle and backstroke legally, we offer a fantastic learn-to-swim program focused on results and fun at the same location.

Practice Sessions/Week:  Stroke School 2 days a week,

WAVES:

 – This group is for the first-time swimmers that can swim freestyle/backstroke (one lap minimum of each) but need to learn the basics of breaststroke, butterfly, streamline, turns, and starts. Heavy emphasis on kicking. The main focus will be technique, technique, technique (80%), and 20 % conditioning/ and having a lot of fun.  This group will be offered 3 days a week with no mandatory practices.

HURRICANES:

This group is for the swimmer that has the knowledge and ability to swim each of the four strokes legally.  The main focus for this group will be mechanics and techniques in all four strokes, starts, turns, and prepare swimmers for meets should they choose to compete.  The focus for this group will be continuing to have fun, be social, and be a part of a pre-competitive team of young athletes.  50% technique/ 50% conditioning.  Dryland will be introduced.

RIPTIDES: Championship Team

– This group of swimmers is the next wave of champion athletes.  The main focus for this group will be mechanics and technique for all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, as well as understanding the pace clock, interval training, and sets. Preparation for competitions, race strategies for swim meets, and learning sportsmanship are all part of this group's daily regiment. The competition gives the coaching staff the ability to gauge the athlete's progress.   Having fun, being social, and being a part of a competitive sports team is what will help them reach their goals.  60% technique & drills/ 40% conditioning, building endurance and mental preparation.  Dryland training will be part of this training regiment.

  National Team

 – This group is for high school and elite-level swimmers.  Dedication and work ethic is expected in this group.  The focus will be on pacing/ interval training/ technique/ drills and drylands  Race strategies training and college prep should the swimmer be interested.  The swimmer is expected to attend all local meets plus any they should qualify for.  The swimmer is also expected to lead the younger teammates by example.
