Swim-A-Thon 2010

Swim-A-Thon 2010

Hawaiian Daze

Swim-A-Thon is Spokane Waves one fund-raiser each year.  Swimmers earn money for our team by swimming lengths of the pool.  Participants collect donations or per lap pledges from friends, family, local businesses, etc. prior to swimming.  Pledges are collected prior to the Swim-A-Thon day unless they are a per lap pledge.

Swimmers are allowed up to two consecutive hours to complete as many laps as they can (200 maximum).  Each swimmer will need to bring a parent or friend to keep track of their completed lengths.  Swimmers can take breaks, eat snacks, limbo, hula, and listen to music.  You may even find a little entertainment from the coaches.  Pizza will be provided and each participating swimmer will receive a prize.

Our top fund raisers will receive prizes.  Also, this year the top seven fund-raisers in each group (Ripples, Age-Group, Regional, Seniors) will have a party with the coaches in June.

We are asking each swimmer to raise at least a minimum of their monthly dues with a $250 cap for families with multiple swimmers.  For the financial health of Spokane Waves Aquatic Team, it is very important that all swimmers participate in this fund-raising event!
