Important Coaches Note 5-18-2010
Last weekend, we officially kicked off the 2010 long course season with two meets. Coach Kevin and the Senior swimmers headed to Seattle, while coach Keddy took nine swimmers down to Lewiston; click on the links to read all about it.
Things are starting to get busy again, so make sure that you are keeping up to date on all that is happening. Here’s what you need to know for the next week:
Swim-A-Thon
Thanks to all who swam at the Swim-A-Thon! I wanted to remind you guys that this is our teams only Fundraiser. We need everyone to help pitch in and do their part to support our team. The goal of raising your monthly dues is just a start, feel free to raise more. To be considered for prizes, your pledges need to be turned in by May 24th. Thanks again for participating and supporting your team!
Spokane Waves Big Splash Awards Banquet
Our annual awards banquet is next Tuesday at the Globe Room on the campus of Gonzaga University. Please RSVP ASAP!!! Here’s the link for all the details.
*** Developmental meet CHANGES!! ***
Due to Witter being closed for repairs, the Developmental meet that was scheduled for Friday has been moved to THURSDAY @ Comstock pool. You have until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT to get your entries in. The meet will run as follows: warm-ups from 3:45-4:15; meet starts at 4:00 and should be done before 7:00. The weather this time of year likes to change quickly; be prepared to stay warm!!!
Tri-Cities Invitational: June 4-6—Pasco Memorial Pool, Pasco, Washington
Entries for the Tri-Cities Invitational are due next Tuesday before midnight. Please get your entries in ASAP.
Summer Solstice Swim Meet: June 18-20—Witter Pool, Spokane, Washington
Entries for the Summer Solstice Meet are due next Tuesday before midnight. Please get your entries in ASAP. Since this meet is in Spokane, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND every Waves swimmer participate.
Reminder: Developmental Meet: June 26—Whitworth University Aquatic Center
We will host a Developmental Meet, similar in format to the meets we had in the fall, on Saturday morning, June 26. Details are coming, but please mark your calendars!
