Coaches Note 06-01-10
Another week, and another meet is fast approaching. This weekend is the Tri-Cities Invitational in Pasco, so pass on your good vibes to Coach Kevin, Coach Rory, and the 30 swimmers making the trip.
Without further ado, here is the important info for the week.
Swim-a-thon
Last call for Swim-a-thon money to be turned in! You won't be eligible for prizes, but the team really appreciates the support from our families. Here's the latest recap, complete with top fundraisers.
Summer Solstice: June 18-20 -- Witter Pool, Spokane, Washington
Please get your entries in ASAP for the Solstice meet hosted by SAS down at Witter Pool, next door to Mission Park, near the campus of Gonzaga University. We highly encourage all Waves swimmers to participate in this meet.
June Developmental Meet: June 26 -- Whitworth University Aquatic Center
We will host another Developmental meet, this time partnering with SAS, on Saturday morning, June 26. This is a fantastic opportunity for our newer and younger swimmers, especially those who are nervous about competing in a long course pool. Mark your calendars--sign up will hopefully be available by the end of the week, so stay tuned!
Summer Meet Schedule
Please double check both the Events/Meets page and the Calendar page to write down our meet schedule for the summer. While we know summer is a crazy time for many families, please make the Solstice Meet, the Developmental Meet, and the Long Course Championships (end of July, in Spokane) your highest priority. Contact your child's coach if you have any questions or concerns.
Summer Practice Schedule
The complete summer practice schedule can be found here. Nothing will change in the afternoons, we will simply add a morning practice at Witter Pool. These times will go in effect starting Monday, June 21. Contact Kevin or Keddy for any questions or concerns.
That's it--have a great week!
Kevin & Keddy
