Coaches Note 06-22-10
It feels very odd to say this, but, here we go:
HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!
Anyway, our Developmental Meet with SAS is this Saturday morning; you can still sign up for the meet before midnight tonight.
In coordination with the meet, we are having a food drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank, so please bring non-perishable food to the pool Saturday morning.
Congratulations to everyone who swam at the Summer Solstice meet last weekend; it was a fantastic weekend(except for the weather on Sunday). We'll have a complete recap posted on the website later today.
Here's what else is coming up:
Snake River Challenge—July 3, 2010: Lewiston, ID
If you are looking for something fun and exciting to do over 4th of July weekend, you might want to check out the Snake River Challenge. It’s an open water competition that is open to all ages and abilities. Parents can swim with their swimmers--the best part is, you get to swim WITH the current of the river, not against it! Click here for more info, including how to register.
Starlight Invitational--July 9-11, 2010: Wenatchee, WA
Entries for the Starlight Invitational are due tonight before midnight. This is our last meet before the Long Course Championships in Spokane. All swimmers, especially those who are planning to attend the Long Course Championship Meet in Spokane, should consider attending this meet.
Inland Empire LCM Championships--July 29-Aug 1, 2010: Spokane, WA
Things move quickly in the summer! Please make sure that you have the end of summer championship meet on your calendars. Entries will be due Tuesday, July 13.
Summer Practice Schedule
Please remember that we are offering morning practices at Witter Pool near Mission Park. Ripples, Age Group, and Regional swimmer are invited to attend on Monday-Wednesday-Friday, while Seniors are invited to attend Mon-Fri. For the complete schedule, please check the calendar.
That's all for the week; see you in the pool.
