This is our weekly email to all of our families that highlights the important events coming up.  Please get into the habit of reading this every week, or you may miss some key information!  Here is what's going on:

Whitworth Varsity Lessons

Whitworth families need to be aware of the Whitworth Varsity Swim Team's Lessons that will be taking up pool space for the next 3 weeks.  This is an annual event, and we have a good plan to adjust, but be aware that the pool deck and the pool itself will have more people than normal hanging around for the next 3 weeks.

Parent Meetings--Wednesday, October 6

We will be hosting parent meetings on Wednesday, October 6 at both the Cheney and Whitworth Pools.  The Cheney meeting will begin at 5:00, while the Whitworth meeting will begin at 6:00; both will last about an hour.  We'd like to have at least one parent from each family attend, especially our newer and younger families. 

Fall Kick Off Developmental Meet--Saturday, October 9: Whitworth Aquatic Center

Please begin to sign up your swimmers for the Fall Kick-off Meet!  This meet is open to all Waves swimmers, who will join our good friends from SAS and CAST as well.  This is a great opportunity for new swimmers to get a taste of competition and returning swimmers to get up and see where they are at.  Entries are due Tuesday, October 5.   Click here for more information.

Team Order

The Team Order is done with our team's sponsor,  Speedo, via Northwest Swim Shop.  This is for competition gear such as suits, caps, warmups, backpacks...you name it, all of which will have our team logo on it as well.  You are welcome to order any other gear as well (practice suits, goggles, fins, etc), but, with those items you have another option (see below). Since they are our team sponsor, all items will be Speedo brand, and will be discounted 25%.  Additionally, Northwest Swim Shop is giving us a  discounted price on our team order.   We are still finalizing the details, so stay tuned!  We are shooting for a delivery date a couple of weeks before Christmas, so this is a great opportunity that you won't want to miss!

Trick or Treat Invitational--October 29-31: University of Idaho Aquatic Center, Moscow, ID

Pumpkin Picking at Greenbluff--Saturday, October 16 at 1 PM

Finally, we wanted to end this week's note with a bang, so here it goes.  We are scheduling an informal get together at Greenbluff to simply hang out with each other outside of a pool.  There are tons of great activities and it's a great way to spend a fall day with family and friends.  The only thing we'll ask everyone to do is join Kevin and Keddy in watching this: \
