For the third year in a row, the Spokane Waves won the IES 14 & Under Junior Championship Meet this past weekend in Clarkston, Washington. 

As an added bonus, for the first time in recent memory, the Waves also brought home the Spirit Award.  This is awarded to the team that displays the most team spirit, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship, and is voted on by 1 coach and 1 swimmer from each team.  Incredibly, we were a unanimous selection!

There were too many best times to list here: every one of our 61 swimmers had at least one lifetime best swim!  Overall, nearly 73% of all swims were a lifetime best.  Every single swimmer in attendance scored for our team, either individually or on a relay.

The High Point Award is given to the swimmer that scores the most points for their team in their age group.  Points are given for 1^st through 8^th place (9 for 1^st, 7 for 2^nd…1 for 8^th).  Here are the swimmers that finished in the Top 5:
