Pac Coast Recap

Pac Coast Recap

After waking up before 5 AM, and loading up the two 15 passenger vans, we were off to Seattle to race at the 1990 Goodwill Games pool.  The venue was great, the weather was nice, and it was our first crack at racing in a 50 Meter pool.  I want to explain that the difference in racing 25 yards and 50 meters is much more drastic than just doubling the distance.  Even with that said, we managed to do some pretty great stuff.  Brining 24 kids, we raced against teams with 70+ and managed to place 5th from 111 best times, and 15 team records.  If you take the top 5 teams and compare the points scored per swimmer, you’ll see that the Waves were clearly the most dominate team:  Great work Waves simmers.  And Thanks to Ryan Leid with Enterprise for giving us an amazing discount on our van rentals.
