In case you are wondering, yes, we are trying to move Coaches Note around.  We will try and get it to you all every Monday.

Our first Developmental Meet will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 1-5 pm at Whitworth; it’s a great opportunity for all swimmers, Ripples on up, even if you are brand new.  Next week, we’ll explain how to sign up for the meet on the website.

There will be NO EWU PRACTICE this Thursday, 9/22, due to a university class using the pool.

A quick heads up: we will have a Question and Answer session in early October (date and time is still TBD).  Whether you’ve been on the team for years or are brand new, there’s bound to be something for you, so don’t miss it.

Our October Board of Directors meeting will be on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 pm in the basement of the building east of the pool (Westminster Hall).  If you are remotely interested in participating in the parent leadership of this team, we highly encourage you attend.  We would especially ask any parents with business or non-profit experience to consider attending our meetings and familiarizing yourself with our governance.  We are a parent-run organization, and would love for you to participate.

We know that things are crowded at Whitworth.  Part of the issue is we only have 5 lanes due to the Whitworth Varsity Swim Lessons, which will end on Thursday, Sept. 29.  The coaching staff is working on making sure every lane is as even as possible so that every swimmer can be successful in practice.  Thanks for your patience, and let us know if there are any concerns or comments.
