Developmental Meet Recap

Fall Kick-off Recap

The Waves had 109 kids participating at the Fall Kick-Off.  It was a blast.  Many of them were swimming their first ever meet.  If you see these guys, give them a high-five and ask them how it went!  Waves swimmers raced 280 times on Saturday, in which 208 of them were personal best times!  (That 74.2% best times)  Great job swimmers.

On a side note, Keddy and I had just finished updating the record board, only to have 4 new team records broken a few hours later.  Congratulations to Avery Tripp, weeks before she ages up, smashing 3 team records; 200 IM, 200 Free, and the 100 Back.  Delaney Phillips also swam amazing, breaking her own 200 Breaststroke record.  Great work girls!

I know that going to your first meet can be a bit intimidating, and not just for swimmers.  I hope you guys took advantage of the new parent FAQ table and learned a bit about what being on a swim team is all about.  For those 24 brave new swimmers who participated in their first meet, Great job!  Check out the names and if you see them, tell them they were awesome.
