Missouri Grand Prix Recap

Madi Lydig and I flew over to Missouri for one of the meets that is in the Grand Prix series.  The Grand Prix meets are designed for the professional swimmers to race, tune up, and prepare for US nationals or Olympic Trials. 

Madi swam 4 races, and the results were awesome!

Madi dropped over 1 second in the 100 back setting new 15-18 and Open records.  She moved up from 100+ place to 47^th.

Madi dropped over 2 seconds in the 200 back setting new 15-18 and Open records.  She moved up from 45^th to 21^st, qualifying for her first finals swim at a meet on the level of the Grand Prix Series.  She moved to be a top 10 15 year old 200 backstroker, and 2 seconds off Olympic Trials. 

Madi dropped 7 seconds in the 400M Free, moving up from 2^nd to last place to 64^th. 

Madi also swam the 800 in-between prelims and finals of her 200 back.  It wasn’t the best race, but it was sandwiched by 2 amazing swims.
