7 Swimmers to Coeur d'Alene!

This past Saturday, seven Waves Masters swimmers went to Coeur d'Alene to their before last meet of the season. The swimmers were Kathryn Shaw, Eileen Harris, Emily Johnson, Jaime Giraud, Rick Mocabee, Dan Sheahan and Harm-Jan Steenhuis. None of us swam the longer distance events (1500 Free and 400IM) and the first event was the women's 200M freestyle relay where the ladies took first place. It was one of many that the SWAT swimmers took home. Even newbies Kathryn and Eileen did very well in their first competition taking a combined four first places home. Emily, Jaime and Rick are now showing that they are becoming seasoned competitors, for example Emily taking first place in the 50 back and butterfly. Dan and Harm-Jan kept up their performances from previous meets. Overall the SWAT team took home 17 first places, 7 second places and two third places. Well done and we'll now be training for our last meet, that is the combined LMSC/Zone championship meet at the end of the month.
