SWAT Sends 1 Swimmer to Masters Worlds
The FINA World Masters Championships are held every two years and this year in Riccione, Italy. It lasts from June 3 until June 17 and includes: diving, synchronous swimming, water polo, open water and competitive swimming. Competitive swimming runs from June 10-17. Overall there are more than 12,600 competitors of which roughly 9000 are competitive swimmers. You can get an impression of the venue here:

Starting lists and results etc. will be posted here:

(there is a link on the top for start lists and results)
Harm-Jan Steenhuis is signed up for five of the long course events (45-49 age group).
Monday: 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke
Wednesday: 50 freestyle and 50 breaststroke
Friday: 200 breaststroke
Interesting detail: because it it virtually impossible for FINA to check everybody's qualifying times, what they do is that in addition of requiring them for registration (you can't enter with times that are slower than the qualifying times) they also require them at the meet itself. If a swimmer swims slower than the qualifying time at World's then the results won't be posted for that swimmer, i.e. no official time.
Maybe another interesting detail: they separate male and female swimmers. One day male swimmers will be in the indoor pool, females in the outdoor pool and the next day it will be the other way around.
