Washington Open Recap

Washington Open Recap

32 Team Records, 4 new AGS cuts, 4 new Sr. Sectional cuts, 3 new IES records, 2 new Jr. National times, and 1 new U.S. Open Qualifier (Emma Schanz) on top of a 66% of swims being best times make for a pretty solid weekend.  The 37th Washington Open was it’s biggest and fastest in the last 10 year, and the first time the Waves entered the meet.  There were over 850 swimmers coming from as far away as southern California and Wyoming.  The Waves ended placed 7th, beating all other IES teams, and every team in Washington except for King Aquatics.  Every Wave who swam at the meet swam at least one best time, and all the great swims couldn’t be listed, but here’s a short list of those who made it to another level.
