Summer Solstice was Awesome!

There were 433 kids at the Summer Solstice, 121 of which were Waves swimmers.  We swam over 500 best times as a team, set 13 new team records, and won the team points race.  Several kids made their first Age Group Regional qualifying times, and several dozen kids swam in their first 50M race.  Overall, despite the chemical or weather problems, the kids and coaches had a blast hanging out and racing hard.  Here are a few of the highlights:  I’ve broken out the different Age-groups to show you how we did against the other teams, and those who made the top 10 list for High-point in those age groups: (Full TM Results)   (Team Scores) (High Point)

Summer Championships  July 26^th-28^th

If you have a legal time in either a 25Y or a 50M race, you may swim that event in the meet.  We would love to send as many kids as possible.  It will be held down in Tri-Cities July 26-28^th.

Sign-UP (Even if you can only go 1-2 days)

This is a meet for everyone with a time.  Every kid counts, every race matters.  3 Years ago, we got 3^rd by 1.5 points, and 2 years ago we tied for 2^nd.  Last year the Waves won the meet, and we need to have a lot of swimmers participating in order to repeat.  We would love to send 60+ kids to the meet and have relays for every age-group.  This is the best experience for kids to go out and enjoy the team aspect of swimming.  See you all there!

Waves Developmental Meet – July 16^th @ Witter

This will be a great event, an afternoon at the park with a BBQ and a chance to watch your kids get ready for Summer Champs.  Warm-ups at 4PM, Races start at 5PM.  There will be no regular practice that afternoon.

July 4^th: No afternoon Practices! (No masters practice July 5^th)

July 12-14^th: Starlight Meet in Wenatchee.  Entries due June 19th

July 16^th-20^th: Sr. Sectionals – Gresham, OR

July 16^th: Waves Developmental meet 4-8PM @ Witter pool (Last qualifier for Champs)

July 26-28^th: IES Championships!  This is a team event in Tri-Cities.  If you can, please sign up!

July 31-Aug 5^th: Senior Zones in Clovis, CA (Details starting to come together.)

Aug 5-10: USA Swimming Junior National Championships

Aug 8-11^th Western Zones

Aug26th – September 8^th: Waves Summer break!
