Starlight Open
This last weekend the Waves took 23 athletes and 2 coaches to Wenatchee to compete at the Starlight Open. The days were long and hot but the Waves swam great and placed 5th over all. With only 23 athletes our team went 79 best times and scored a total of 436.5 points.
Sakaiya McCoy came away with 6 first place finishes; several team records and high point for the girls 13-14 age group.
Andrew Lambert qualified for zones in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:27.64. Congratulations Andrew!
Abi Millet dropped 42 seconds in her 200 backstroke and placed 8th in the event with a time of 2:48.42.
Drew Kistler went best times in 8 out of his 9 events swam and placed in the top 10 in every event.

Coach Andrew and I want to extend a special thank you to all the swimmers that came and cheered us on during the coach relay. We hope we didn’t embarrass you guys too much.
