SWAT, Outstanding performances at Sectionals & Moses Lake
SWAT kicked off the championship season with some outstanding swims this past weekend at the Sectional Championships in OR and the Sizzlin’ Open in Moses Lake.
Scoring 347 points, SWAT raced to an overall 17th place finish at the Sectional Champs this weekend in Gresham, OR. Women placed 13th and Men placed 21st respectively in the men’s division. This was a tremendous improvement on last year’s overall team score of 0 points. With multiple swimmers qualifying for Finals (Top 32) this past weekend, this was the best showing our program has ever had at this level.

Sizzlin’ swimmers had some enormous time drops bettering their entry times for the IES Champs meet in two weeks (Registration deadline for IES Champs is tomorrow, Tuesday July 17). Our age group swimmers placed extremely well against the competition. This bodes well for our age group performance and placement in two weeks. Keep up the good work get ready to race.
Overall this was a great start to our championship meets and valuable experience for our team both at the local and sectional levels. We're looking good going into the IES Championships. Stay on track, stay focused and make sure you are resting this next week and a half.
