Olympic Trials Begins This Saturday

Psych Sheets are out and the field is wide open in a lot of events to see some new names in Paris this summer.

Michael Hochwalt has five events on his schedule over the course of the meet next week and begins competition this Saturday with the 400 Freestyle. Click Here for the Olympic Trials Psych Sheet

SWAT also has two other team members attending the meet this year. Lead Official Keith Lambert has been selected to officiate the meet and former SWAT swimmer and Team Record Holder Ryan Foote will also be racing in his last meet in the 100 Breast. Ryan achieved his first Olympic Trial Qualifying Time with SWAT in 2019 before attending the University of Arizona.

New Coach on Deck

Age Group swimmers and parents have probably seen a new coach on deck this past week at Whitworth.

Joining coach Shane and Coach Kelti is our new Age Group Assistant Coach Jamie Gassman. Jamie will be working under coach Shane with the Ripples, Wave Riders and Bronze swimmers. Jamie swam with GOLD aquatics in the Seattle area during his club career and competed all four years with Whitworth University under Coach Steve. Jamie is also the YMCA Rec Team coach and brings a lot of experience to our age group program.
