Class Class Type Description For Ages Class Ratio
Parent - Tot Water Adaptation

For tots aged 3 months to 3 years.  Parent and child interaction in the water to develop comfort and adaptation.  We sing nursery rhymes, play games, and allow the student to explore the water alongside the parent and instructor.

Ages 0-3 6:1
Beginner 1 Water Adaptation

For students with little to no experience in the water.  We work on water adaptation skills and getting comfortable with the water.

Critical Skills:  Blowing bubbles at the surface (Mouth & Nose)

Assisted Floats (Front & Back)

Blowing bubbles underwater (Mouth & Nose)

Sit or Stand Jump into the water with bubbles

Ages 4-12 4:1
Beginner 2 Water Confidence

For students relatively comfortable with blowing bubble (Mouth & Nose, Underwater); and assisted floats (Front & Back). Students must demonstrate proficiency with all Beginner 1 skills.  We continue to refine water adaptation skills and build water confidence.

Critical Skills:  Unassisted Floats (Front & Back)

Standing jump into the water with underwater bubbles

Front kicking (on the wall, assisted with a kickboard, noodle, or barbells

Water pushups to get out of the pool unassisted

Ages 4-12 4:1
Intermediate Water Independence

For students confident with blowing bubbles underwater (Mouth & Nose), kicking on the wall, and floating unassisted.  Students must demonstrate profieciency with all Beginner 1 & 2 skills.

Critical Skills:  Unassisted floating moving from front to back to front

Ready position on the wall for glides (Front & Back)

Swim the width of the pool (10 yards) unassisted (Front or Back)

Tead Water for 30 seconds

Ages 4-12 6:1
Advanced 1 Stroke Fundamentals

For students with basic water independence.  Students must demonstrate proficiency with all Beginner 1, 2, and Intermediate skills.

Critical Skills:  Freestyle stroke basics

Backstroke stroke basics

Streamline at the surface (Front & Back)

Tread water for 60 seconds

Introduction to dives from the sitting or kneeling position from the side of the pool

Ages 4-12 6:1
Advanced 2 Stroke Refinement

For students with a fundamental understanding of Freestyle and Backstroke.  Students must demonstrate proficiency with all Beginner 1, 2, Intermediate, and Advanced 1 skills.  We will refine and further develop stroke mechanics.

Critical Skills:  Refine Freestyle

Refine Backstroke

Underwater Streamlines (Front & Back)

Tread water for 90 seconds

Introduction to dives from the compact and standing position at the side of the pool

Ages 4-12 6:1
Adult 1 Water Safety For adults who have little to no experience in the water.  We work on adaptation skills and getting comfortable with the water.  We move at the student's pace, recognizing that Adults new to swim lessons may have childhood barriers which require a slower pace. Ages 18 + 4:1
Adult 2 Stroke Development For adults who are comfortable in the water and looking to develop or improve their strokes and breathing.  We move at the student's pace. Ages 18 + 4:1
Private Lessons N/A 1:1 or with a friend instruction for 30 minutes.  Call for availability and scheduling.  All Ages 1:1
Key Lime Clinic Pre-Competitive

For students who have completed our Swim School curriculum. 

The Key Lime Clinic is our pre-competitive, developmental program with a focus on learning the skills needed to join our competitive swim team!  The Clinic meets 2x/week for 40 minutes.  There are 3 Clinics offered each year.

Critical Skills:  Freestyle stroke refinement (Balance & Posture)

Kicking Competitively (Front & Back)

Introduction to Freestyle and Backstroke flipturns

USA Swimming Rules for Competition for all strokes

Circle Swimming Etiquette and team-building activities
