Head Age-Group Coach Mirko Mirkov Takes to Mount Everest

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, M3 Aquatics (M3A) Head Age-Group Coach Mirko Mirkov fulfilled his life-long dream of making it to Mount Everest Base Camp. Mirko has travelled for the last week and a half to reach base camp. Along the way, Mirko made sure to represent his athletes both at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools (UCLS) as well as his club swimmers with M3A. As a gift to the owners of a local tea shop on the trek to base camp, he left an M3A shirt signed by athletes as a gift for the owners. In the pictures included, Mirko is shown reaching base camp, has left prayer flags for his family, is with his travel campion and best man who accompanied him on the trip, and is presenting the M3A shirt to the owners of the tea shop. Congratulations Mirko!
