M3 Aquatics Head Coach Appointed to Illinois Swimming Board of Directors

CHICAGO, Oct. 24, 2023 —M3 Aquatics Head Coach and Club Owner Kate Chronic has been appointed to the Illinois Swimming Board of Directors for a two-year term as the chair of the Safe Sport Committee. Chronic has served on the Board of Directors of Illinois Swimming previously and prior to her election of Safe Sport Chair was an elected member of the Illinois Swimming Governance Committee of which she has also been elected to serve a second term. In addition to her roles with Illinois Swimming she is also serving as a member of the USA Swimming National Board of Review. 

“I welcome the opportunity to further Illinois Swimming's mission and vision,” said Chronic. “I look forward to collaborating with other members of Illinois Swimming and working towards our common goal of creating a safe, fun, and competitive environment for our athletes and staff.” 

Chronic joins the board of directors as a second member of the M3 Aquatics Staff alongside Ben Pearthree who was elected as the chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee in 2022.
