Welcome to the Duneland Swim Club
We are a not-for-profit organization.
The club's directors are: Head Coach Jim Voss and Head Chesterton High School Boys and Girls Coach/Head Senior Team club coach Jenni Kellstrom. The staff includes Assistant Coaches Betsy Kazmierczak (Dry Side Manager), Amy Woodruff, Laura Fortney, Rich Ostertag, Kaitlin Ferguson, Sarah Kozuzek and Alexis Orange.
The goals for the Club are to teach swimming in a competitive environment and to teach teamwork. The day you start the swim program is the beginning of a long road to some very high goals and expectations. When a swimmer joins the team they are thought of as a member of our family and as a long-range swimmer.
Fast swimming is a long process with a lot of peaks and valleys. All Duneland Swim Club members will be taught the methods developed by proven mechanics and many years of quality experience. Our teaching starts out with basic concepts and then gradually increases with strength and more yardage as a swimmer progresses through our program.
Our goal in the long run is to have a happy, successful high school senior who can look back on this program and be proud of their accomplishments and of what they have given back to the swim club. Results will vary with different levels of raw talent, coordination, strength, and the desire to excel. However, as with all competitive sports, you will get back what you put into the sport.
We are looking forward to a great season this year and for the many seasons ahead!
