To the Middle Atlantic Swimming Community: The Middle Atlantic Board of Directors agreed, at our Board Meeting on May 11, 2020, that the 2020 summer Long Course meet schedule will not take place as originally presented. The concern for the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, officials, other meet volunteers, and spectators guided our decision. As we move towards an opening of the 3 states of our LSC, we are hoping to continue the empowerment of clubs to host inter-squad, time trials, virtual meets, or other forms of limited...
The Capital Area Swim League has released the following statement: We have reviewed Gov. Wolf's plan for re-opening Pennsylvania as well as management practices and actions that would be necessary to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 for our swimmers, coaches, and family members --as well as for our officials, spectators, and pool staff. The actions that would be necessary for proper sanitation for the facilities and requirements for social distancing make it most impractical, if not impossible, to conduct swim meets, presently. Thus: Regretfully, the Capital Area Swim League (CASL)...

Because he always keeps the atmosphere lively, we like to call Bode I. Groh “Notorious B.I.G.” Always the last one out of the pool, one of the hardest working swimmers on the team, 11 years old and 4'8” tall, Bode never gives up. At USA Silver Championships, he swam a demanding schedule which included 6 individual events and 2 relays over just 2 days. This Trials/Finals meet in York, PA started early with warmup for Prelims at 6:30am and ended each night with the Top 16 swimming again at Finals...
It was very hard to select a Swimmer of the Meet for Divisionals since almost everyone had Personal Bests. An even more select few had improvements that were more than 4% lower than their Best. But Sofie Nguyen posted results of: 100 IM 1:31.68 (-6.11 seconds/6.25% Improvement), 50 Breast 46.55 (-1.85 seconds/3.82% Improvement), and 50 Fly 41.73 (-2.94 seconds/6.58% Improvement). Her performance combined with her consistently positive attitude and determination to better herself is why the Coaches recognized her as a standout. Sofie's wonderful personality also makes her a true...
