Westtown Aquatics is a school-owned and operated USA Swimming program dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and positive environment for all athletes. Our mission is to give each individual a positive swimming experience that enables them to achieve a high standard of excellence in the sport. Swim Lessons

Lesson Information: Westtown Aquatics Swim Lessons is an accredited SwimFast program that teaches an advanced progression of swimming in a two-week period. The SwimFast method teaches children to become safer and more self-sufficient in the water. Using this unique approach, over 90% of beginners (aged 2 – 5 years old) are able to surface and swim unaided across the pool in just two weeks. Trained and experienced instructors will work to build confidence and help beginners overcome fear. All swimmers will be evaluated on the first day and placed according to their skill level. As swimmers learn and perform skills proficiently, they will be challenged to learn the next skill in the progression. Beginners will initially be taught the self-rescue survival float, which will allow them to remain calm and confident in a stressful situation. Once these skills are met, swimmers will advance to learning freestyle and rhythmic breathing. Instruction will maintain a 5:1 swimmer to teacher ratio. No floatation devices will be used.

Session 1 | April 27 – May 8 | Lesson Times: 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Session 2 | May 11 – 22 | Lesson Times: 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Session 3 | June 1 – 12 | Lesson Times: 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m.
Session 4 | June 15 – 26 | Lesson Times: 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m.
Session 5 | July 6 – 17 | Lesson Times: 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m.

Rate: $390 per child, per session

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a Westtown Student to swim on Westtown Aquatics? No, We are open to private and public-school swimmers in the surrounding area.

How often are meets? During non-championship months (Oct, Nov, January & February) we will compete in one ABBC meet. Championship meets are typically held in December and March. You must pre-qualify for these meets while attending the ABBC meets.
