CROSSOVER LIFEGUARD CERTIFCATION

Prerequisites:

• Must be 16 years old
• Currently Certified in a recognized program outside of StarGuard.
• Completed Pre-Course Skills Test- 2 Weeks before Course Start Date
  • Swim 50 meters while demonstrating breaststroke and/or freestyle with head out of the water
  • Swim 50 meters with rescue tube while demonstrating breaststroke and/or freestyle with head out of the water
  • Tread water for 1 minutes only without using their hands
  • Retrieve a weighted object off the bottom of the pool

 

Students must meet all prerequisites prior to course registration. Pre-Course Skills Test will be offered by appointment & can be scheduled by contacting our instructors John ([email protected]) and Alysia ([email protected]).

 

 

Upon completion of prerequisite testing and registration, the student will be provided with required course materials. Students will receive an email two weeks before the skill session that will provide information to access and complete the online learning portion. 

THE ONLINE LEARNING MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COURSE.

Candidates must present proof of online completion the first day of class. If the online learning is not completed, the candidate will not be eligible to participate in this session.

 

Registration:

Registration is open to anyone currently 16 years of age or older.  Registration is first-come, first-serve. In order to register, participant must complete the Pre-Course Skills Test and turn in a completed registration form and payment to the Life Time Swim Omaha Office at least 2 weeks before preferred session. Late Registrations will be accepted if space permits.

 

Late Fee: Life Time Member & Non-Members: $50

Rescheduling Fee: Life Time Member & Non-Members: $25

 

Payment is due at registration (credit card, money order, cash or personal check are accepted). Please make checks payable to Life Time. All registration fees are non-refundable after online learning modules are released.

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy: Full payment is due at the time of registration. An administrative fee of $15 will be retained for all cancellations if cancelled at least 2-weeks prior to the start of the session. All registration fees are non-refundable within 2 weeks of the session. If candidates within 2-weeks of the session starting and need to reschedule their session a rescheduling fee may be applied.

 

 

Certification:

Attendees who pass the course by attending all class session & successfully completing each module by the American Red Cross standards receive the corresponding American Red Cross certification.  The certification will be emailed to the address specified by the participant within approximately 1 week after final course date.

 

Course Offerings:

Attendance is mandatory at all classes.  No make-ups will be given.
